Imke Tuma-Koch studied law at the University of Osnabrück (2009-2014) as a scholarship student of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation and a student assistant at the chair of Professor Schulte-Nölke (Civil law, European Private- and Economic Law, Comparative Law and European legal History). After her first State Examination in 2014 (Schindhelm-Award, honored by the Ministry of Justice of Lower Saxony), she worked as a researcher and PhD student at the European Legal Studies Institute and taught law in Osnabrück and Bremen. From 2018-2020 she was legal trainee at the Higher Regional Court of Oldenburg (Second State Examination in 2020). In 2021 she started working as a judge in Minden.
