Fedja Alexander Hilliger studied Law at Ludwig Maximilians University Munich and at the School of Economics (Handelshögskolan) in Gothenburg. He passed the first state exam in 2010 and worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Roman Law and German Civil Law at the LMU Munich (Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. h.c. Alfons Bürge) from 2010 to 2013. He completed his legal clerkship at the Court of Appeal (Kammergericht) in Berlin from 2013 to 2015. In 2017, he earned his PhD at the law faculty of the LMU Munich for a thesis in criminal law history (supervised by Prof. Dr. Petra Wittig). Hilliger lives in Berlin and works as a lawyer in banking and capital market law.
