Franz Bosbach is Professor of Early Modern History at the University of Duisburg Essen. 1995–2008 he was President of the Prince Albert Society and editor of the Prince Albert Studies and Prince Albert Research Publications series. In addition to his research and publication on early modern Europe he has, particularly through the Prince Albert Society, pursued an interest in German-British relations and Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. Amongst other books, he has edited »Die Studien des Prinzen Albert an der Universität Bonn, 1837–1838« (2010).
John R. Davis is Professor of History and International Relations at Kingston University, England. His research has focused on Anglo-German relations and political, economic and cultural developments in Britain and Germany in the nineteenth century. His books include »The Great Exhibition« (1999) and »The Victorians and Germany« (2007). Together with Franz Bosbach, in the Prince Albert series, he has edited volumes on »The Great Exhibition of 1851« (2002); »Prince Albert: A Wettin in Britain« (2004); and »Divided Estate – Common Heritage: Windsor – Coburg« (2007).
Karina Urbach is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Historical Research at the University of London. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge and her second doctorate (habilitation) in 2009 at the University of Bayreuth. Among her recent publications is a biography of Queen Victoria (2011) and she co-edited »Secret Intelligence and the International Relations of Europe in the 20th Century« (2013). Her book »Go-Betweens for Hitler« will be published in 2015.
Oliver Walton is Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at the University of Duisburg Essen and researcher for the Royal Collection, London. He studied at the University of Exeter, completing his Ph.D. in 2004. Since then he has held visiting professorships at the University of Bayreuth and the Economics University in Prague. He worked as a researcher for the Prince Albert Society’s Common Heritage Project from 2005. In addition to German-British and monarchical history, he has also published on the history of the Royal Navy.
