Heinrich de Wall is Professor of canon law, public and administrative law, and director of the Hans-Liermann-Institute for canon law at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg. His research focuses on Protestant canon law, state-church law, constitutional history and early modern political science. He is president of the Johannes-Althusius Society that is dedicated to the research of early modern legal thought, political theory and constitutional history.
