Christian R. Ulbrich studied law at the University of Konstanz, specialising in the legal foundations of international business activities. His doctoral studies at the University of Zurich were promoted by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. Subsequently, he received a doctoral scholarship from the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law.
He was a guest lecturer at Zeppelin University, Friedrichshafen. He worked as a researcher at the Center for Research in Economics, Management and the Arts, Zurich, and at the Center for Research in Economics and Well-Being, University of Basel.
